Laufey (born Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir, April 23, 1999) is a musician from Reykjavík, Iceland who began her career as a cellist the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. In 2014, she placed as a finalist on Iceland's "Got Talent" and the semi-finals on "The Voice Iceland" the following year. In 2020, while studying at Berklee College of Music, Laufey released her debut single single "Street by Street" and EP "Typical of Me". After graduating, she began releasing jazz covers on TikTok and hosted a weekly music show on BBC Radio 3 called "Happy Harmonies". In 2022, she made her US television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The year, she also dropped her debut studio album "Everything I Know About Love". It was followed by "Bewitched", which won a Grammys and led to an 11 leg, 110 world tour between 2023 and 2024. Her third studio album "Matter of Time" was released in August 2025 with another headlining tour commencing in September.
