American Football is a emo-band formed in Urbana, Illinois in 1997. The band released a self-titled album in 1999 and then disbanded the following year. In 2015, American Football reunited, releasing a second self-titled album in 2016 and a third in 2019. Two years later, Steve Lamos left the band. He returned in 2023, with the band performing its live for the first time since December 2019. Since that performance, the band has toured consistently, headlining several international tours while making appearances at many major festivals
