Flo & Eddie were a comedy-rock duo formed by two of the cofounding members of The Turtles: Mark Volman, performing as Phloresecent Leech or Flo for short, and Howard Kaylan performing as Eddie. The two choose these pseudonyms because they were legally prohibited from using their real names due to their contract with White Whale Records after "The Turtles" disbanded in 1970. They were also disallowed from using the name "The Turtles" until 1983 when they began performing as "The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie".
