Soft Boy, het pseudoniem van Xander Hamelton, bricoleerde op zijn slaapkamer zijn debuutalbum 'This Took a Long Time' bij elkaar, een friszoete mix van harmonieën, humor en twangy verende grooves. Om zijn bedroompop podiumparaat te maken, heeft hij enkele getalenteerde vrienden om zich heen verzameld en sindsdien blaast hij met een zachte zomerse bries alsnog publieken omver. Al zingend over stalkers, bibliofielen en kunstschoolposers maakt hij de spreidstand tussen een halve eeuw popmuziek: van Beach Boys naar Gorillaz...
