Being abandoned is, as everyone knows, one of the worst things that can happen. Especially if you didn't even have a relationship with them in the first place! What remains are only the imagined memories of what migh have been. What should you do now to get over it and move on - write a song about the formerly deified? Nonsense! Best to rename a band after the unfortunately-not-girlfriend and keep her that way forever a part of you. Thus Elizabeth Ecker was forever immortalized in THE BETH EDGES.
