Mingus Dew was a Ska/Rock/Punk band formed in Litchfield Park, AZ. The band featured composer Travis Leech and many musicians from his former band So Fetch. The band was modeled after influences such as Kemuri, Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and The Police. In its short stint (the band was active for less than a year), they recorded the Lost in the Place Where Lamps Grow EP and also performed alongside many nationally known bands such as The Casualties, Suburban Legends, Buck-O-Nine, and Mustard Plug.
