Born in Sydney, she moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a career in music. She first gained public attention after releasing the music videos for "Pussy" and "Two Times" on YouTube. Shortly after, she released her debut mixtape "Ignorant Art" (2011) and signed a recording contract with American rapper T.I.’s Grand Hustle label.
