This line up formed April 2009, taking very little time for new members Jack Baz (Bass) and Elliott Marks (Drums) to settle. Danny Hudson remained on vocals along with his brother Terry and Freddie Brooks on lead and rhythm guitar respectively. Later Rivals began writing and playing their own material and in June of the same year took to the studio to record their first demo.
