I wish I still had my tshirt. It wouldn't fit me anymore...but it would fit my grandson, who will soon be 17. :) Thanks, Lion.

Speaking of T-shirts, I wish I still had mine from then. I have one from the 2nd Day of Rock and Roll, but all the shirts I bought at the First Day, are gone. I bought a Nazareth shirt that was killer, and I gave it to a lady I worked with. I bought a Heart shirt that I wore so much that it disintegrated, and I bought a Boston shirt, but I have no idea what happened to it.

Actually, Becky's right. I found some pictures of t-shirts from the concert. It was the 10th. It's just very weird, because back then it seemed like all the concerts were on Fridays or Saturdays. I stand corrected.

Lionart60, I was 17, and I met the boy, who was 18, that I would go on to marry. Believe me, it was Sunday June 10th, 1979. I flew home the next day, Monday, and the guy I met, Jay, hitchhiked back to his home. We stayed in touch, married, had three kids and now have 3 grandkids. We celebrate every June 10th, in addition to our wedding anniversary. We are still together after 43 years. I don't forget important dates.

Lion, I agree. I graduated HS in MAY. I remember asking for FRI afternoon off. We got rooms at Sheraton on Canal. It was after midnight SUN morning before we got back to hotel. My memories are like Black & White photos spilled out of a box. No order. Lots of fun.

Actually, Becky, it would've been the 9th. The 10th was a Sunday. I'm pretty sure it wasn't on Sunday.

The date was June 10th, 1979, not the 6th. It's the day I met my husband. Bad Company was NOT there. This is a huge memory for me. Great time. :)

Bad Company didn't play at this concert. You must've seen them in the Dome on another occasion.

All I know is I was there for The FIRST DAY OF ROCK IN ROLL in our Super Dome at the age of sixteen, companied by several of my friends all piled into an old station wagon and my first love too, whom I did marry once we grew up. We were all on the floor level being our decision to go was split second and had the time of my life and even so I had no one's permission but mine on that glorious day of fond memories that were all mine and Terrell's and we all kept it that way. I'd never seen so many joints being passed around freely and girls on shoulder's and my one of my best friends had passed out on the floor which concerned me to get her help but she assured me she it was only the huge crowd and being a little short of air, so her boyfriend David said but seven months later told a whole different reason of it's on. I know for sure that the musicians lineup is not all there on this site, so I'm adding One more of quite a few missed and ( BAD COMPANY ) who I said would open with their hit single BAD COMPANY in our hour ride to New Orleans from Hammond where I grew up. I'm very grateful for all the many added extra fun that being a Louisiana gal Made Me
