Cardboard Cowboy are from Leeds, England and play a ragged kind of pop music - an indie, rock and roll, country bag of tunes you want to sing along to. August 2005 saw them play the Carling Leeds Festival and release their second album, ‘Shorthand For Love’. A scuffed, hazy expansion of it’s predecessor ‘Unload Your Head’ (August 2004), both were released on the band’s own Slapdash Recordings label to the sound of fanfares from lashings of critical trumpets.
