Thijs Boontjes (born Schagen, The Netherlands, 14 November 1987) is a Dutch singer, keyboard player and songwriter based in Amsterdam, who first gained prominence in the Dutch music scene as the frontman of the Thijs Boontjes Dans- En Showorkest. The band released a number of singles and EPs, their style being labelled as 'Herman Brood meets André Hazes': rock & roll meets the Dutch levenslied, with lyrics in the Dutch language.
