LANY began as a pop-rock trio consisting of Paul Jason Klein, Jake Clifford Goss, and Charles Leslie Priest in 2014 when the band uploaded its first two songs to SoundCloud with the debut EP "Acronyms" following later in the year. Between 2015 and 2016, the group toured in support of X Ambassadors, Halsey, Ellie Goulding, and many others while appearing at Bonnaroo, Firefly, and other festivals. After headlining two successful tours, LANY dropped its self-titled debut studio album in the summer of 2017. With 2020's "Mama's Boy," LANY scored its first top ten album on the Billboard 200 chart. Priest left the group on April 7, 2022, leaving Kelin and Goss to continue on as a duo.
