Green Day is a punk rock band formed in 1987 in East Bay, California. Its members include lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. It included early hits like "Longview," "Basket Case," "Welcome to Paradise," and "When I Come Around."
