JIN (born Kim Seok-jin, December 4, 1992, in Anyang, South Korea) is a singer-songwriter, who rose to prominence as a member of the K-Pop band BTS, which he joined on June 13, 2013. Along with other members of the band, he was appointed Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture by South Korean President Moon Jae-in in 2021. In addition to work with BTS as a whole, he's collaborated with other individual members and led a successful solo career. On October 28, 2022, he opened for Coldplay in Buenos Aires. On December 13, he began his compulsory military service. After being discharged in June 2024, he held a fan event for BTS's 11th anniversary before acting as a torchbearer for the Paris Summer Olympics. His first solo tour, the RunSeokjin Ep. Tour, took place in the summer of 2025.
