Deluxe Flamingos were formed in 2010 by Mike James and PJ Davy. Intially studio jams intended to sound like 80s gangster rap, without the gangsters, or the rap and only a little 80s, the ideas quickly expanded to encompass a wide variety of influences. From Mogwai to Mr Oizo, Pixies to Prince, the pot kept over-spilling and they kept having to buy bigger pots. "All pretty much recorded in various bedrooms and lounges, our equipment gradually getting better, we were enventually introduced to Aviv.
