Wargasm was a thrash metal band formed in 1982 as Overkill. In 1985, the band became Maniac and in 1986, they Donner their longest lasting name of Wargasm. After disbanding in 1995, the group reunited for benefit shows in 1996 and 2004 and then again in 2008 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album "Why Play Around?" The band should not be confused with the British electronic-punk duo formed in 2019.
