Valkea formed in September 2005 with the line up of Steve Ellis (Vocals and Rhythm/Lead Guitar), Iain McKenzie (Lead/Rhythm guitar), Oliver Went (Bass) and George Jacob (Drums). Following a successful debut gig at Hinckley FC Club in October of that year, Iain departed the band and was replaced by James Marshall.
