Arctic Monkeys, a renowned English rock band, was formed in Sheffield in 2002 by Alex Turner (lead singer), Matt Helders (drummer), Jamie Cook (guitarist), and Andy Nicholson (bassist). Their debut studio album, "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" (2006) was the first of five sixto top UK Official Albums Chart. Nicholson left the band shortly after its release. He was replaced by Nick O'Malley.
