Sodom is a German thrash metal band from Gelsenkirchen, formed in 1982. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes, with bassist and vocalist Tom Angelripper remaining the only constant member. The current lineup includes Angelripper, guitarists Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik—who was a member of Sodom from 1987 to 1989 and rejoined in 2018—and Yorck Segatz, as well as drummer Toni Merkel. Sodom is recognized as one of the "Big Four" of Teutonic thrash metal, alongside Kreator, Destruction, and Tankard.
