With the breakup of a small experimental metal band, When The Dead Walk, Nathan and Griffith Johnson were left stranded with no outlet to create and perform music. About the same time, Tregg Frank had recently parted ways with the project Anchors and Tethers. The three started talking and decided to start jamming to see if they could start a project that would bring something, new exciting, and refreshing to the scene.
