Founded in 2016 in San José, Costa Rica, Fractal Sun is a progressive metal band that blends modern djent, symphonic elements, and technical compositions. The group was established by guitarists Johnny and Isabel Víquez, who later rounded out the lineup with vocalist Hellen Quirós, bassist Santiago Mejía, and drummer Sunfyre.
