The group is regarded as a pioneer of alternative hip hop music.

there's at least one Tribe show missing from this list: in the fall of 1993, Tribe headlined a show at Hammerjacks in Baltimore, MD. the openers were Souls of Mischief and De La Soul. this was the beginning of the MM tour.
