Doctor & the Medics are a British psychedelic glam rock band which enjoyed greatest success in the 1980s and are best known for their 1986 UK #1 version of "Spirit in the Sky". Based in London and formed in 1981, the band still perform, albeit with a different line-up and primarily as a tribute act to various artists.
