Guitarist in The Allman Brothers Band (since 1999) & founder/guitarist of the Derek Trucks band (at age 15). In 2006 toured with Eric Clapton. Clapton has stated that Trucks is the only slide guitar player that reminds him of Duane Allman. Derek comes from a musical family. His uncle is Butch Trucks, drummer and founding member of The Allman Brothers Band. Derek was a guitar prodigy, playing live with the Allman Brothers Band before he was a teen-ager.
