W. Kamau Bell (born Walter Kamau Bell, January 26, 1973) is a stand-up comedian and TV host. In 2007, he released his first comedy album, "One Night Only"and began his "The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About An Hour" one-man show. "Fae Full of Flour", his second album, followed in 2010 and was rated one of the best of the year by several organizations. Between 2012 and 2012, he hosted the series "Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell". In 2016, Showtime premiered "Semi-Prominent Negro", his first stand-up comedy TV Special while CNN launched the "United Shades of America" documentary series, hosted by Bell. It anded in 2022 after 7 seasons. That year, he also produced the documentary miniseries "We Need to Talk fanout Cosby" and in 2025 won the "Celebrity Jeopardy!" tournament.
