In 1957, the single "While Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" catapulted Lewis to the top of the charts, reaching 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 1 on the Hot R&B chart. This was followed by "Great Balls of Fire," which reached the top spot on the Hot Country Singles chart and the second spot on the Hot 100.
