The group originally began in 1979 under the names Pierced Arrow and later Beowulf before adopting the name Crimson Glory. The classic lineup featured vocalist Midnight, guitarists Jon Drenning and Ben Jackson, bassist Jeff Lords, and drummer Dana Burnell.
