Bongwater was an art rock band from New York City, formed in 1985 and dissolved in 1992. The group was founded by Ann Magnuson and Kramer (who was also the founder of the now defunct Shimmy Disc record label). Magnuson caught Kramer's eye when he saw her perform in the all girl band Pulsallama.
