The Crownhate Ruin were an American post-hardcore band formed in 1994 in Washington D.C from the ashes of Hoover. Ex-Hoover members Fred Erskine and Joe McRedmond continued to play together, and joined by Vin Novara, formed a new band: The Crownhate Ruin. They played their first show barely two months after Hoover's demise.
