After lead guitarist Bobby Lewis formed Teenage Octopus in 2009, the band wasted no time hitting the Ann Arbor music scene with their fresh, unique sound. Influenced by alternative-rock bands such as Radiohead, Wilco and Spoon as well as jam-band pioneers Phish, the four-piece of University of Michigan students creates catchy melodies united with powerful jams. The band member’s individual influences and training blend a variety of styles that create a distinct feel and tight sound.
