The members of The Green Zoo come from varied musical backgrounds. Members have played in punk, metal, psychobilly, indie and jam bands all across Idaho. Four of the six members currently play in Jazz ensembles, two members sing in choirs and all members of The Green Zoo compose music for various side projects. This eclectic palette of experiences and tastes gives the Green Zoo a unique sound. At times, The Green Zoo features lush orchestrations that toy with dissonance and strange sound textures.
