The Main Point was a small coffeehouse in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a small suburb near Philadelphia. The venue opened in 1964 and quickly became a hotspot for rising musicians and comedians including Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Livingston Taylor, Tom Waits, and Cheech & Chong. In 1981, The Main Point closed due to financial issues, but in 1998, a successor to The Main Point opened. It was called "The Point." It closed in 2005.
