Shaaman (previously named Shaman) is a Brazilian power metal band created when Andre Matos (vocal), Luís Mariutti (bass) and Ricardo Confessori (drums) split from Angra. Hugo Mariutti (guitar) was called just to help on the compositions, but the result was so positive that he joined the band definitely. Since 2002, Shaaman released two studio albums: Ritual and Reason, and a live CD/DVD called Ritualive.
