Avenged Sevenfold, often abbreviated as A7X, is a renowned heavy metal band originating from Huntington Beach, California. It was formed in 1999 with lead singer M. Johnny Christ joined as a permanent bassist in 2005 with Brookers Wakerman ultimately replacing The Rev, after his untimely death in 2009.
