KATSEYE is a global girl group that was created on the YouTube reality show "The Debut: Dream Academy." On the show, twenty contestants from twelve countries competed to become a final member of the sextet. Winners included Sophia Laforteza of the Philipines; Yoochae Jeong of South Korea; Manon Bannerman of Switzerland; and Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, and Megan Skiendiel of the United States. On August 16, 2024, KATSEYE released its debut EP "SIS (Soft Is Strong)", which included the hit singles "Touch" and "Debut". The singles "Gnarly", "Gabriela", and "Gameboy" were featured on KATSEYE's debut studio album "Beautiful Chaos" in 2025. On November 15, 2025, KATSEYE commenced on its first headlining tour in support of the album. In 2026, Manon went on "hiatus" without a specific reason, little information about whether she will to return to the group, and much speculation about whether it was her decision to go on hiatus at all.
