Silence Kid is a two-piece indie rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. Drummer Linda Chilcote, a self-taught instrumentalist and veteran of the local music scene, met songwriter Jack Pinder in the summer of 2010 through a mutual acquaintance and began making music together the same day. Bonding over a mutual love of riot grrrl and early-90's alternative rock, they initially developed Jack's solo songs, and eventually began to incorporate Chilcote's own compositions, often trading off or sharing vocal duties.
