In 1965, Memorial Auditorium in Dallas hosted the Five Americans, the Gentrys and Chuck Berry. I cannot find a reference to this concert anywhere, but I know that it occurred because I was there. My father took me and my little sister, and we got in with five Oscar Mayer wiener wrappers, and two dollars each.
