Brett James's 2012 Concert History

Brett James (June 5, 1968 - September 5, 1968) was a county musician, best known for writing some of country's biggest hits in the early 2000s, including "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Cowboy Casanova" for Carrie Underwood, "Blessed" for Martina McBride, "When the Sun Goes Down" for Kenny Chesney, and "It's America" for Rodney Atkins. He also wrote songs for non-country artists including The Fray ("Keep on Waiting"), Theory of a Dead Man ("Out of My Head"), and the Backstreet Boys ("No Place"). Brett James passed away on September 18, 2025 in an airplane crash.
