A chance encounter between producer/multi-instrumentalist Tony Marrison and world fusion DJNelson Dilation led to the birth of Kamel Nitrate. They described their style as dubxotic ethnofunkadelia. After parting ways with Nelson, Kamel Nitrate is now a collective of musicians helmed by Tony. For the latest album, the original Kamels from the first album were joined by 15 musicians, including Guy Schalom, Jean-Claude Yebga Dikoba, Jarmila Xymena Gorna, El Crisis, Nika Boon, Mario Joao Branco, Sharon Gitau and Santa Mutanuka.
