Originally from West Reading, Pennsylvania, Taylor Swift (born December 13, 1989) is a 36 year old musician, well-known for her narrative songwriting style and ability to elevate traditional pop-country sounds to new dimensions. She released her self-titled debut album in 2006. became the first debut album written by a female country singer to go platinum in the US. Her next album "Fearless" was the first of over a dozen to top the Billboard 200 chart. In 2018, her entire catalog was sold to a private investor. To regain control, Swift began re-recording her albums and re-releasing them beginning with "Fearless" as "Fearless Taylor's Version" in 2021. In Between 2023 and 2024, her "The Eras Tour" became the first concert to gross over $1 and $2 billion and has been cited as one of the most culturally significant concert tours in history.
