Lita Ford (born Lita Rossana Ford on September 19, 1958, in London, England) burst onto the rock scene as the lead guitarist for the pioneering all-female band The Runaways. With hits like "Cherry Bomb," The Runaways laid the foundation for Lita Ford and other female rockstars including Joan Jett. After the group disbanded, Ford began a successful solo career, now spanning several decades. Her 1988 hit "Kiss Me Deadly" became an anthem of its era, while her soul-stirring duet with Ozzy Osbourne, "Close My Eyes Forever," showcased her versatility and became a chart-topping ballad.
