 Robert Hoogenboom October Drift: 3.75 stars out of 5 ENERGY First Club show in Holland, opening for The Slow Readers Club and what a blast. From the first seconds the energy coming from the stage is enormous and every member is giving their max. Unfortunately the singing in the first song is continuously off-key but this has probably got to do with a technical problem because after the opener it’s OK. The sound in general is good and I really liked the bass. Nico songs too so en good performance and a nice opener with 7 tracks played. The Slow Readers Club / October Drift Apr 21, 2025
 Robert Hoogenboom The Slow Readers Club: 4.5 stars out of 5 QUALITY A sell-out crowd with a line forming early despite the rain (all day) as the Readers were finally able to play Rotterdam (after earlier cancellation because of Corona). Aaron was in great voice tonight so we got to enjoy the highs and lows in each song to the max. What a fine singer he is. Also the sound mix was perfect, drums and bass not to loud, everything very wel balanced. Nice mix of the new ‘knowledge, freedom, power’ album wit old(er) and classic songs.  Robert Hoogenboom The Reytons: 5 stars out of 5 BANGER!! First time over, second show outside UK and what a banger this was! From the first notes the crowd went ballistic and they never stopped while the band gave a top performance. All was nicely balanced: Setlist, sound and in their enthousiasm they forgot one song from the setlist (Lowlife) but they made up for that by putting it in their encore. Perfect evening!  Robert Hoogenboom Guus Meeuwis: 3.5 stars out of 5 ‘MOETJE’ MAAR OK Dit was een ‘moetje’, ik heb werkelijk helemaal niks met zijn muziek (of soortgelijke NL-talige muziek) maar qua geluid was het OK en qua show ook gewoon.  Robert Hoogenboom Inhaler: 4.25 stars out of 5 GOEDE LEERLING Snelle leerling bij z’n vader en herkenbare stem. Voor zo’n jonge band al enorm bedreven in hoe het ‘moet’ op het podium.  Robert Hoogenboom The Murder Capital: 4.5 stars out of 5 STEMMIG & MEESLEPEND De muziek is stemmig, donker, veelal somber en de set bouwt lekker op. Mooie mix van oud en nieuw weer en de band trakteert het publiek op de langste en beste setlist van de Tour. Geluid was OK op paar probleempjes na. Je merkte aan de band dat ze gaandeweg de set steeds meer overvallen werden door het ‘we did it’ gevoel, het enthousiasme en de blijdschap dat alles prima verliep en ‘Gigi’ goed geland was.
