Steve Wilson Went to see Leo Kottke at Massey Hall as the opening act. He was amazing and got called back for 3 encores. He then urged the crowd to welcome the main act, Jesse Colin Young. Many in the crowd left as they, like me, came only to see Leo. Leo Kottke / Jesse Colin Young Jan 17, 2023
NEIL LUMSDEN Originally planned for The Barrowlands. Moved to The Garage due to poor ticket sales. Anthrax / Galactic Cowboys Jan 17, 2023
Cookie I left a mates birthday party about 9.15pm in the city and drove my way to the gig, just down Parramatta Rd. and a quick pit stop, went to the gig and got to see Operation Ibis, who I've seen before, a great ska/punk band. As a 3 piece band, they really put on a great show. I was on the barrier in front of Lindsey, (Guitarist) and the place went nuts from the opening riffs, you could see the crowd was on full throttle, ready to mosh like there's no tomorrow. I happened to be wearing my Local Resident Failure t-shirt and was up front when the bass player, (and lead singer for LRF, Michael Dallinger) , saw my shirt and did a double take and had the biggest smile on his face so we did a fist pump and he continued the gig in fine form. Stacking Shelves, Russell Crowes band, and Punch in the face were all highlights, but the biggest sing-a-long was reserved for Never had So Much Fun, a crowd fav. Fuckin top night as usual Art Show / Frenzal Rhomb / Operation Ibis Jan 17, 2023
