Lanabona This free concert was great. I are appetizers at Dave and busters before the show. I also got to meet Moontower and PopsickleStickAirport after the show which was cool. Weathers / Moontower / popsiclestickairport Sep 11, 2023

Lanabona This was my first festival and I had a blast with my cousin and my sister. I knew all the bands before going to the concert so I was singing along the whole time. Sad Summer Fest Sep 11, 2023

Mike_ee September 17, 1983, KGB-FM presented Sky Show 8. Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Uriah Heep performed at Jack Murphy Stadium to a crowd of 50,000. Another estimated 5000 partiers were in the parking lot, enjoying the freedom of grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, and chicken and drinking cold beer with a couple of thousand friends and neighbors who had decided the parking lot was the place to be, with no restrictions. In fact, the atmosphere was almost surreal. One thing for sure, to enjoy the full impact of the gigantic KGB fireworks display, the parking lot was the best and was as close to ground zero as possible. The fallout zone, as I used to say. KGB employees actually handed out cardboard 3-D glasses to protect your eyes from falling ash. Protecting your clothes and hair was another story. https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2009/oct/07/letters/ Def Leppard / Eddie Money / Mötley Crüe / Uriah Heep Sep 10, 2023

GMC The opening act was The Ramones. I was not there but this show was talked about for years. People were throwing things at The Ramones, I'm not sure if they even finished their set. Black Sabbath Sep 10, 2023
GMC This Old Man is correct. This was my first concert, and The Knack opened. I recall there being signs posted outside saying the replacement band was "LA's hottest club band." Also it was said somewhere that Sammy Hagar, since he was a local boy (from Fontana) that he should be a headliner. This was four months before My Sharona was released.
