 Jeffrey Lee A brief history of the Central Presbyterian Church of Washington, D.C. and <b>Wilson Center</b> On December 19, 1913, President Woodrow Wilson, who was a regular member of this church congregation, laid the cornerstone at 15th and Irving Streets. The new building was occupied in February 1914. On November 18, 1956 a bronze tablet was unveiled by Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, renaming the educational building the Woodrow Wilson Building, hence the name, Wilson Center. As a concert venue, it played host to the punk/hardcore music scene from 1981 until 1996. Former home of Capital City Charter School, currently The Next Step Public Charter School.  Marcos Arroyo Overall very disappointing show. ZHU is my favorite dj and ive seen him many times and this wasnt the best at all. The 1st half of the show was ok but the 2nd half was just awful. His band started playing jaz which is cool but thats not what im going to see ZHU for. Im going for deep house. It felt like I was at a lettuce or string cheese show. Side piece which opened on day 2 (Saturday) was amazing and should have been the primary act. ZHU also barely played any of his real bangers. Not going to another ZHU show if he keeps this up.
