Ric Kilmer I graduated from Everett High School in 1972, attended UW 1972-76, then UCLA 1976-79. Now here I am still kicking today, Dec. 18, 2020. And we all shine on.... Bill Cosby Dec 19, 2020
Ric Kilmer The year/month is a "best guess" based upon this site, which says he had a concert in Portland, OR, the day before: https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/sam-kinison-5bd4bf50.html?page=4 Sam Kinison Dec 19, 2020
Ric Kilmer For the life of me I cannot remember the date/year I saw, with my band-mate pal John Nelson, Sam Kinison perform in Federal Way. The venue had once been a popular country music club, complete with a mechanical bull, established soon after the hugely-popular movie "Urban Cowboy" with John Travolta. Sam Kinison Dec 19, 2020

Ric Kilmer I attended the taping of this show, hoping Johnny would be there. He wasn't. I eventually did get to see him appear at a seminar or something at Royce Hall, circa 1978. Hoyt Axton / doc severinsen / david brenner / John Davidson Dec 18, 2020
Ric Kilmer I had just moved to UCLA from Seattle and attended a number of TV tapings Aug - Nov 1978, including this (with my friend Doug T.), "The Bob Newhart Show" and "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" (with David Brenner as guest host). I got to see all these legendary performers (including a young Michael Jackson!) and Bob Hope on one show! "The Sonny and Cher Show" Dec 18, 2020

Ric Kilmer I first enjoyed what has become known today as the early 1960s "Girl Group" sound. Back in the day, after moving with Grandma Bessie from Alaska to LA around 1960, I enjoyed hearing this sound on my onr earphone as I rode my bike around town. The Shirelles Dec 18, 2020

Rosebud Front row right underneath Dan's mic. He tossed a guitar pick into the crowd and it landed in my ear. He signed it afterward. The Black Keys / Jessica Lea Mayfield Dec 18, 2020
Rosebud Phenomenal set. Everyone was yelling for Sabotage in the Encore and they delivered. Beastie Boys / Talib Kweli Dec 18, 2020
Ric Kilmer I did see Steve Hackett in the audience. (It was a small place, seating about a hundred or so I'd guess, but I could be wrong. You sat around tables, not in a standard row of seats like many concert venues.) I was sitting with at a table with some folks I didn't know. After chatting with them for awhile, before the show, one guy, realizing from our chat that I was a big Genesis fan, directed my attention to a guy sitting at the table close behind us. He said that's Steve Hackett. I didn't quite buy it at first, 'cause the guy didn't look lik the Steve Hackett I had seen in photos. This guy was clean-shaven and didn't wear glasses. So I stood up, walked over and said words to the effect of excuse me, are you Steve Hackett. He said he was. And I said I just wanted to shake your hand (he held his out to shake mine) and to tell you how much I admire your guitar-playing. He thanked me and I went back to my table, not invading his privacy anymore. Brand X Dec 18, 2020

Ric Kilmer I also saw a solo Robert Fripp "Frippertroncis" show around this time (1979-82) in a small club across the street, down the Pike Place Alley near the now-famous "gum wall." I'll try to find the exact date. King Crimson / Adrian Belew / Tony Levin Dec 18, 2020
