uno dei peggiori concerti a cui sia stato per fortuna non ho speso soldi miei ma ci sono andato col bonus cultura solo perché i miei ex amici tossici mi hanno praticamente forzato ad andarci, mai sentito qualcuno cantare male come fa lei

Bob, you're spot on. I was one of the fools squeezed into the center of the infield, sweating my tush off. A friend and I were able to squirm through the crowd to the concession stands under the stadium and scored something to drink. We witnessed one of the BBQ vendors run away after his stand while it was mobbed by a bunch of hungry hippies, grabbing food with their hands. We also managed to squirm our way up to the stage to see Joe Cocker up close. One strange acting dude. But he was outdone by the drug-crazed crowd around us. It became tolerable when the sun went down and ZZ Top and Santana played. That was a day I will never forget!

All 4 bands were great but With Confidence absolutely killed it. So happy to see these bands in a more intimate venue such as The Shelter.

This show was during the Great Ice Storm of 1998. Roads in Portland were covered in ice after the show.

Skid Row was scheduled but did not play. Dee made some controversy about this... but he was joking. Obvious to anyone there.

It was pretty awesome. Revealed some personal vulnerabilities and celebrated the music that resulted. Very inspirational for all ages!!!

They started in 1970. So today the band is 5 years older than me. I’m 46. So KW is 51/52ish. I first saw them when the band was 35ish in 2005.

Hot as Hades that afternoon. I remember getting there about 30 minutes after the gates opened and they had already run out of food and drinks. They wound up opening all the gates so you could come in and out (no checks or stamps). Everyone packed the infield till there was no room to move. Most of the crowd was very chill, but still kinda hacked off at the lack of food, water, and facilities. By the end of the night the stadium was pretty well torn up, the infield taking the brunt of the hurt. During hurricane Rita when all of Houston tried to evacuate at once, I had crossed over IH-10 near Columbus and the sight of all the standstill cars 4 and 5 deep up and down the frontage roads and freeway with litter ankle high, reminded me of the trashed out / torn up infield at Memorial Stadium that day. Job for a Cowboy and Red Chord were billed but at least Job for a Cowboy did not play. I think Red Chord did, but I don't really remember. There was another, probably local, unknown band that played a few songs.
