Bruce reprises his guest spots on "Glory Days" and "I Wanna Be Your Man" after earlier guest Dave Grohl leaves the stage; both are back out for the show-closing "The End". The 2024 honorees are John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne (inducted by Jon Landau), Mavis Staples (inducted by Darlene Love), and Dion DiMucci (inducted by Steven Van Zandt). Bruce himself inducts Mellencamp, with the two duetting on Bruce's first ever performance of "Small Town", and returns to close the show with two of his own classics and for an all-performer rendition of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" led by Staples. Brian Williams serves as the evening's host and The Disciples Of Soul act as house band.  Brucefan24 THE GHOST OF TOM JOAD / DANCING IN THE DARK Bruce attends the USC Shoah Foundation's 30th Anniversary Ambassadors for Humanity Gala. The gala is hosted by Meryl Streep. Others present include Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, Whoopi Goldberg, and Drew Barrymore. Spielberg established the USC Shoah Foundation thirty years ago to collect video testimonies from survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides. Inspired by the making of Schindler's List, the video archive Spielberg created now includes more than 55,000 personal accounts and is available to schools across the globe. Bruce dedicates his performance to Spielberg and Capshaw, playing solo acoustic versions of "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" and "Dancing In The Dark".  cRAshby Like the other comment I can remember heading out to this with my college roomate and his brother instead of doing the neighborhood Xmas lighting thing. I also remember the drunk guy in the seat next to me passing out for about 30-60 minutes of the show. He missed out. I also remember Kirk broke his guitar during his solo when everyone else went backstage. I think it was the entire bridge not just a string. Metallica May 18, 2025
