In 1980, he released his debut solo album "Blizzard of Ozz." It peaked at number 7 on the UK Official Albums Chart and remained his highest-ranked album until 2020's "Ordinary Man," which reached the third spot. His thirteenth and final album to date "Patient Number 9" (2022) reached number two. In 2006, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Black Sabbath, and in 2015, he received the Ivor Novello Award for Life Achievement.
