So tired driving home after taking Karla up to girls dorm at Emory and Henry her freshman year we missed the Abingdon exits off 81 and drove all the way down and came back through Kingsport and Duffield. After we had been sitting bout 15 minutes 4 rows down from us a couple with an usher tickets in hand had the 2 girls moved the 10 or so people we were sitting with all snickered a lil about them trying to pretend they were Rich with THOSE seats and then not 5 minutes later a couple with an usher holding tickets asked to see our pair of tickets and sure enough we were in their seats. Pas épargné par la vie, le groupe est bien vivant en 2026 et prêt à en découdre pour jouer son album de 1998 « Occupationnel Hazard » en entier. Purement DIY, les comparaisons élogieuses fusent avec des maîtres du genre de la scène indie rock 90’s. L’urgence de la musique de Pamplemousse s’apprécie en live : un son massif qui s’affranchit des styles noise, garage, punk, grunge ou même stoner. Pour leur premier concert en métropole, le groupe ouvre pour Unsane à Paris et bientôt à La Grenze. Le duo continue de façonner son style: nerveux, sauvage avec des petites bombes noise punk mais Pamplemousse élargit aussi son spectre et lorgne vers l’indie rock.  ChillGill This was probably one of the most unusual shows I ever attended. We all had mud on our shoes and stood in mud to watch the show. Some kids were throwing mud at the stage later in the show and Axl yelled about it. He said they would take a break and come back if they felt like playing more. He went on to say it was dangerous for the band if people were going to throw stuff. It was pretty hot at the show and you could definitely smell the horse stuff (trying to keep it clean here). That may have had something to do with the unruly people at the show. Plus, this was well before the whole ”bottled water” sales were a thing. Bottled water didn’t yet exist, which likely contributed to the crowd being a bit dehydrated. GNR's next concert, three days later at a St. Louis-area amphitheater, ended with a riot.
